nonprofit_tech: @daveiam I've never used AIR. I realized there were Twitter clients I wanted to try, but refused to install AIR b/c Adobe is new Microsoft.
nonprofit_tech: @Galedawg Oops, didn't mean to scare. It's just dislike. Adobe products are invasive. They send data back to Adobe, and ignore my settings.
nonprofit_tech: Fiddling around with Web2PDF http://snipurl.com/2ugb7 to give Nat'l Data Project users ability to generate PDF reports of tables on the fly.
nonprofit_tech: I've been remiss, but warm welcomes to @imagirlscout, @greenpeaceusa, @swbrandt, @bbravo, @MarineLifeCtr, @foysavas, @paulhyland, @CareFlash
nonprofit_tech: Austinites! You guys ROCK. 1st Twitter Blood Drive a resounding success. A write-up w/links here: http://snipurl.com/2uewf Congratulations.
nonprofit_tech: I only thought of this, because there are a couple Twitter clients I'd love to try, but they require Adobe AIR, which I refuse to install.
nonprofit_tech: The installers for Acrobat & Acrobat Reader are hellish. If Preview allowed merging of 2 PDFs, Acrobat would be gone from my machine.
nonprofit_tech: Little Snitch rejects tons of outgoing connects by Adobe. And despite, that I've turn auto-updates off, the update runs on open, everytime.
nonprofit_tech: Adobe products are getting more invasive, don't follow user preferences, and fail to conform to either platforms principles.
nonprofit_tech: Realizing that I've been slowly whittling myself off Adobe applications. People say Apple's the new Microsoft, but I believe Adobe wants it.
nonprofit_tech: @daveiam How did the Blood Drive go? Sounded as if it was hopping.
nonprofit_tech: Wow! Posted my 100th link with http://snipurl.com I guess it has mostly replaced my http://tinyurl.com use. I like knowing link popularity.
nonprofit_tech: @doshdosh I've had days were things get reordered. It's like being stuck in a dreamscape; where nonsensical makes sense. But your waking.
nonprofit_tech: Downloaded Laconica: http://snipurl.com/2ubto the open source Microblogging or Twitter tool. Testing as intranet tool for large nonprofit.

nonprofit_tech: Reading Remiel's, 'On Google's Web...': http://snipurl.com/2u11w So Google should NOT index flash, cause Adobe's a twirp? Missing the evil.

nonprofit_tech: Anyone that uses Identi.ca try downloading the Laconica software? I get a page doesn't exist error.
nonprofit_tech: @geofharries We're have +15 EE installs. Policy to evaluate per client to be revisited. Local testing then all at once, seems good option.
nonprofit_tech: @swbrandt @Galedawg The CAP has a nice simplicity to it, I'm leaning towards that but w/flourishes like Martha Stewart tabs. They're cool.
nonprofit_tech: @geofharries Do you always update all client sites at once; or do you make determinations based on client? We need to review our policy.
nonprofit_tech: @ginatrapani Viacom ruling soured my morning as well. Hoping for an appeal, if possible.
nonprofit_tech: So Twitter friends, what do you think? or do you have better something better, send me the link.
Thanks.
nonprofit_tech: I really like the tabs on Martha Stewart's site. They're more reflective & informative than just numbers; but may require xtra text field...
nonprofit_tech: I'm thinking, CAP is closer to basics. I don't want to use flash, or force generation of content. I want just 3 or 5 newest items displayed
nonprofit_tech: And lastly, Center for American Progress: http://snipurl.com/2tcoi Very simple, just javascript, image w/text on side. Maybe too simple.
nonprofit_tech: Martha Stewart's: http://snipurl.com/2tcn4 Clean, distinctive, like the tabs, with titles, instead of just numbers. flash and javascript...
nonprofit_tech: The first is BNet's version: http://snipurl.com/2tcma Lot's of flash use, very dynamic, almost too automatic with the switches., Next is...
nonprofit_tech: Opinion on Carousel boxes. I'm trying to decide between three different implementations of carousel or multi-headline box for a project...
nonprofit_tech: @Tim_Carpenter So I hear. I've never worked directly with them before, but they are part of the Steps Coalition who we designed website for.
nonprofit_tech: Hey Austinites! Today's your day to give: http://snipurl.com/2s89g Don't forget the 501 Tech Club sponsored Blood Drive.
nonprofit_tech: Editing this morning. Eight docs to review/comment on, and then writing. Already made date-based code changes for another project.

@linktastic: Not Sean ‘Puffy’ Combs, just a marketer. Links aren’t purely deceptive, the topic is specific, if ad based.
@googlesense: Most likely, NOT Sergey Brin of Google. Links are not deceptive. They just link to paid advertising on topic.
